Stefanini is looking for a Maintenance Engineer - Automotive Assembly in Hagerstown, MD (Onsite)

Work Location: 13302 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 (100% Onsite)

Shift: We are a three-shift operation and support beyond first shift is necessary on occasion.

What you will do:

Ensures processes are developed and secured with the goals of meeting the Professional Maintenance theories and applications, according to the VPS standards (World Class Manufacturing based). Provide leadership and guidance across a sectional level within the Operations Maintenance business functions fostering a continuous improvement culture focused on loss reduction, waste elimination, employee engagement, and application of lean theories.

We are looking for:

A Maintenance Engineer with strong motivation and engagement to drive a continuous improvement philosophy (human, material, intellectual, and financial) to deliver decided projects at agreed targets. We are a three-shift operation and support beyond first shift is necessary on occasion.

Main activities and responsibilities for this role:
  • Support Operations Maintenance with the continued development of the Professional Maintenance Focused Area principles and tools throughout the organization
  • Secure application of proper methods, tools, and execution of such to reduce equipment failure related losses
  • Data Analysis (current and historical) and Root Cause Analysis
  • Drawings and prints (validate, update, control)
  • Machine component evaluations (life cycle)
  • Condition Based Maintenance development and attainment
  • Standard Maintenance Procedure development and validation
  • Machine life extension and increased reliability
  • Coordinate the interface between all areas connected with the activities related to Professional Maintenance (methods, tools, data, etc.)
  • Participate in improvement activities in different focus areas and equipment needs throughout the organization.

Excellent communication skills will ease both team and cross functional work for allowing trustworthy network building.

  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years technical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven exposure to and execution of engineering projects (mechanical, electrical, industrial)
  • Time management, prioritization skills, and excellent communication skills
  • OR - Eight years minimum combined post-high school education and experience within a manufacturing environment
