You’ll work alongside Project Managers, Production, Purchasing and fellow Drafters to create accurate show drawings for commercial architectural millwork projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, takes pride in producing quality drawings, and is always looking for ways to learn and improve.

What You’ll Be Doing:

·     Draft Technical Drawings – develop accurate millwork drawings using AutoCad, Microvellum or other drafting software from architectural plans, specifications, and client requirements.

·     Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with Project Managers, Production, Purchasing and fellow Drafters to ensure projects move smoothly from design through manufacturing.

·     Problem Solve – Identify drawing conflicts, suggest practical solutions, and help resolve constructability issues before production.

·     Maintain Drawing Standards – Maintain, update, and improve libraries and standards, ensuring drawings meet company standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency.

·     Support the Drawing Review Process – Participate in internal and client drawing reviews and incorporate feedback as required.

·     Contribute to Continuous Improvement – Share ideas that improve drafting processes, standards, and overall team efficiency.

·     Additional Responsibilities – Perform other duties that contribute to the success of the drafting department and company.

What You Bring to the Team:

Education & Training: Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Interior Design Technology, Cabinetmaking, or a related field.

Technical Expertise: Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software. Experience with Microvellum, commercial millwork, or manufacturing is considered an asset.

Attention to Detail: You take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Collaboration & Communication: You enjoy working as part of a team and building positive relationships across departments.

Continuous Improvement Mindset: You’re open to learning new systems, embracing change, and finding better ways of doing things.
