About This Role 

A Day in the Life of a Manufacturing Engineer II: 

         Support development and improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for fabrication and assembly of detail parts and enditem products.

         Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot build issues, resolve manufacturing problems, and support daytoday operations.

         Assist with creation and updates of work instructions, standard work, and basic tooling concepts.

         Participate in design reviews to provide basic DesignforManufacturability input and ensure producibility of engineering changes.

         Support documentation updates, routing creation, and maintenance of configurationcontrolled manufacturing packages.

         Contribute to rootcause investigations and corrective action activities for routine production issues.

         Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and schematics to identify manufacturing requirements.

         Assist with Manufacturing Engineering tasks during Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings or other crossfunctional engagements.

         Conduct time studies, workflow observations, and other basic analysis to improve quality, efficiency, or cost.

         Help evaluate new equipment, tools, or manufacturing technologies and provide recommendations to senior engineers

Qualifications 

What You'll Need:  

         Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.

         2-5 years of relevant experience supporting manufacturing operations, preferably within aerospace or defense environments.

         Working knowledge of basic manufacturing processes such as electromechanical assembly, cable/harness assembly, and precision machining.

         Experience with CAD tools such as NX, CREO, or SolidWorks; ability to read and interpret drawings.

         Familiarity with Lean principles, rootcause analysis, and other foundational problemsolving methodologies.

         Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle or similar.

         Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.

         Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

         Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
