Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking a BIM Design Intern. The BIM Design Intern will be assisting in the development and execution of deliverables including multi-discipline 3D models and construction documents.  This position will focus on the execution of a variety of projects related to the Power, Industrial, Water, Infrastructure and Services industries.

Location

This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office.

Responsibilities

    Assist in the execution of multi-discipline project design deliverables in Revit, as assigned by the project lead.
    Work in a team environment with other designers and architects/engineers to meet the goals of the projects.
    Provide quality checks for deliverables in accordance with company standards
    Participate in BIM/Revit process, tool and standard development/maintenance
    Become familiar with company "design-build" engineering design processes

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a vocational training program, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Design, Architectural Technology or BIM design
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with other team members and disciplines both verbally and in written form
  • Knowledge and experience with BIM software (Revit and/or Navisworks) is required.
  • Basic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems is required 
  • Knowledge of basic spreadsheet, database, word processing programs
