As the Lead Quality Engineer, you will have responsibility of all Bonding Quality functions for a specific program within Bonding operations. You will be responsible for ensuring all engineering and regulatory requirements are met using six sigma methodologies. The Lead Bonding Quality Engineer will be a part of a cross-functional technical and operations team to focus on achieving business objectives.

What YOU will do:

  • Manages all Quality functions of assigned program(s) or area(s) with some guidance
  • Acts as the Point of Contact for their program to inspectors
  • Has a general understanding of AS9100 and/or NADCAP requirements
  • Eliminates process variation and product defects through creative solutions
  • Works Root Cause, Corrective Action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.)
  • Processes all Nonconformance Items and Workflows in a timely manner
  • Takes on training opportunities as they arise
  • Solicits weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables that align with business objectives
  • Mostly takes direction from cross-functional team members/leaders to execute support actions for the cross-functional team
  • Provide process improvement and variation reduction expertise (product/process capability) as required.
  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control. Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
  • Support the manufacturing groups to design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Power-Point, Excel and statistical software tools).


What YOU must bring to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality leadership role. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate science, engineering, and/or engineering technology field is preferred. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of Manufacturing or Production Quality Experience.

Estimate salary range for this role: $89,200 to  $127,300 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location.
