SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
The Hanover's Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job.
Through the 10-week summer program (June - mid August), You will:
  • Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the very best talent in the industry
  • Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates)
  • Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
  • Attend weekly development workshops with your intern peers
  • Join in engagement and social activities with other interns

Our Personal Lines Operations team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Have the ability to read and understand process and data flow diagrams
  • Have a general understanding of the design and development of existing automations to provide effective and consultative support to business clients
  • Independently develop automations on lower to medium complexity projects based on a set of specifications created by the Automation Project Team
  • Interact directly with business customers, to provide data and support
  • Share the performance metrics of the automation to help identify enhancements and/or improvement opportunities for specific automations
  • Responsible for developing all automation reporting, trend analysis, etc. based on KPIs and providing this to key stakeholders
  • Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Computer Science or technical degree preferred
  • Design and code automations that automate complete processes or sections of processes typically handled in and between multiple application/systems
  • Integrate and evaluate large and complex data sets
  • Be comfortable turning raw data into meaningful information
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details
  • The ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and a solid knowledge of SQL
  • Aware of Artificial Intelligence technologies and software automation preferred.
