Job Description
The Audit Associate reviews and analyzes payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine the appropriate premium base for multiple insurance lines, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability. This role gathers detailed information on business operations and employee job duties, completes audit worksheets using Excel templates, and processes audit findings in a centralized database. The position offers a structured path for professional growth in a collaborative environment with a hybrid work schedule and strong benefits.
Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine accurate premium bases for insurance lines such as Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability.
  • Obtain clear and detailed descriptions of business operations and employee job duties over the phone and through email.
  • Clarify and document other relevant information from clients to support accurate audit conclusions.
  • Complete audit worksheets using established Excel templates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
  • Work within existing pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel to reconcile data and support audit calculations.
  • Reconcile payroll, tax, and accounting data to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across records.
  • Process audit findings in the company's database, following established procedures and documentation standards.
  • Apply auditing principles to evaluate financial records, identify issues, and support appropriate premium determinations.

Essential Skills
