Job Summary

Position Description

Manufacturing support position with responsibilities focused upon optimizing and maintaining

production processes and product scrap reduction.

Responsibilities and Duties

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform first piece start up process verification activities.
  • Verify end of arm tooling for robots, where applicable, and initiates robot program or proper cam settings.
  • Set up assembly and decorating equipment per Master Process Control Sheet, where applicable.
  • Make sure correct Master Process Monitoring Sheet is at press when a mold change, material change or insert change is done.
  • Remove old process control sheet and file when there is a mold change or insert change.
  • If Master Process Monitoring Sheet is full or a mold change, material change or insert change has been done place sheet in designated area.
  • Perform process verification checks and log results as defined by the product MPMS.
  • Respond to calls from operators regarding product/process questions and/or concerns.
  • Complete assigned area of First Piece Approval document(s).
  • Identify needed machine and tool repairs and initiate appropriate work order(s).
  • Participate, as needed, in internal problem solving/improvement.
  • Participates in all Safety activities and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirement

B. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.

C. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Mathematical Skills Requirements

A. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,

common fractions and decimals.

B. Ability to calculate percentages, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability Requirements

A. Ability to actively participate in problem solving activities.

B. Ability to apply logic to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Physical Requirements

A. Moderate to heavy physical movement and exertion.

B. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Training Requirements

A. Completion of supporting training requirements matrix.

B. Completion of Mold Technician training requirements matrix.
