Job description

This is a 1ST Shift onsite Position.

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Position Summary: The Process Engineer position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. 

 

Qualifications (include but are not limited to)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing processes highly preferred
  • Ability to lead and participate in project teams
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Must have a record of dependability and good attendance
  • Must be able to present yourself in a professional manner when dealing with customers and vendors.
  • Must be able to work well with others in coordinating multiple tasks involving several process steps

 

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Techs to modify equipment, improve line layout, update equipment, etc.
  • Prepare and present plans for production process improvement and coordinate implementation, including training of affected associates.
  • Improve and update standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and job-related training.
  • Provide leadership through performance planning using Continuous Improvement Discussions to ensure clarity of expectations and achievement of departmental targets.
  • Implement and lead multiple projects, this includes new model development and improvement projects.
  • Create or modify all documentation required for PTS Quality system to ensure requirements are met and to maintain TS certification.
  • Answer and implement suggestions in a timely manner.
  • Support manufacturing by addressing problem solving issues and theorizing improvement ideas to achieve maximum machine efficiency.
  • Address other issues and/or assume other responsibilities as they pertain to improving Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost, and Delivery.
