Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Rubber Engineering Team to develop, test, and improve rubber compounds that meet customer and business requirements.
  • Support manufacturing operations by identifying process improvements, troubleshooting production issues, and driving sustainable solutions.
  • Work directly with operators, technicians, and supervisors on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with customers, laboratories, quality teams, and suppliers to ensure successful product development and launches.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, minimizing defects, and improving manufacturing performance.
  • Help establish process flows, manufacturing standards, and project timelines for new products and process improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and implement engineering solutions that enhance product quality, delivery performance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required; Materials Science or related engineering disciplines may also be considered.
  • Recent graduate to 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, process engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and eager to spend time on the production floor working directly with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with operators, engineers, customers, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
