Job Summary

The Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the golf course including tee times, product knowledge, POS system, merchandising, and respectfully / innovatively serving guests to provide a first-class experience.

Essential Functions

  • Be a great Teammate
  • Must bring positive energy to work with our guests in the pro shop through the check-in and retail process
  • Assist in management of the tee sheet
  • Assist in tournament operations, billing, merchandising, scoring, enforcing policies, and servicing phone calls
  • Assist in weekly events
  • Assist in interdepartmental communications
  • Responsible for day-to-day Pro Shop operations and guest experience.
  • Selling and inventory monitoring
  • Maintain an attractive golf shop and work to achieve merchandising profitability with superior service
  • Merchandise returns
  • Receiving new product, pricing and displaying new product on the floor
  • Efficient in time management and tasks
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of golf operations

Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent education experience
  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and able to lift up-to 50 pounds

  • Variable-hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan:

  • Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 2% match with a 4% contribution from the team member.

PTO:

  • 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
  • 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)

Holiday Pay:

  • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
