Job description

An established and growing commercial general contractor in the Dallas market is looking to add a Project Engineer to their team.


This is a great opportunity for a motivated construction professional who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction and work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents on high-quality projects.


What You'll Do

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the construction process
  • Assist with project documentation, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents
  • Help coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and procurement
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout and contract administration
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and logs
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with meeting minutes
  • Help identify and resolve project issues
  • Assist with project closeout and turnover
  • Communicate with field and office teams to keep projects moving efficiently


What We're Looking For

  • 1–3+ years of commercial construction experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Internship or entry-level construction experience will be considered
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Procore or other construction management software is a plus
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the construction industry
