Shift Details: 0600-1430 Monday - Friday Holidays: n/a Weekends: n/a
Job Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse in the Integrated Procedural Platform (IPP), provides age appropriate care in a cultural and ethnically sensitive manner. Performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedure necessary to provide for care, comfort, and safety of patients in the perioperative and/or procedural areas; assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinic competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative services, and activities of daily living. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Completion of the Critical Care Technician course or equivalent within six months of hire.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses indicating successful completion of the basic nursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
