About Us

Signature Graphics is a locally owned, full-service commercial printing company specializing in heatset and coldset printing, direct mail, and graphic design. With over 40 years in business and 150+ employees, we are one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest.

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our production equipment running efficiently and safely.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment across our facility—including printing presses, bindery, and mailing machines. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth, continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Repair or replace defective parts and test equipment performance
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders
  • Fabricate parts as needed to support repairs and improvements
  • Use hand and power tools to install, maintain, and repair equipment
  • Collaborate with maintenance team, machine operators, and production managers
  • Assist with equipment startup, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
  • Must follow all safety procedures at all times
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Ability to lift:
    • Up to 25 lbs regularly
    • Up to 50 lbs frequently
    • 100+ lbs occasionally
  • At least 2 years of experience leading projects, people, or vendors/service providers
