Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite in a hospital setting, where collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to enhance patients’ mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to alleviate pain and promote physical wellness.
  • Educate patients and their families on body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home-exercise programs to continue their progress outside the clinic.
  • Administer various therapeutic modalities—including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy—under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Document patient progress meticulously to track improvements in strength, range of motion, and functional abilities, contributing to ongoing treatment adjustments.
  • Organize treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are readily available and in good working order at all times.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Offer emotional support and motivation to your patients, fostering a positive relationship and encouraging their commitment to recovery.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and patient privacy regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
