Job description

Line Cook:

The Grizzly Paw - Join Our Team: PART TIME/Nights

Are you passionate about cooking and looking for a place to flex your skills and creativity? The Grizzly Paw is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our team as our newest Back of the House colleague. We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, fresh ideas, and a bit of swagger to the line as they dive into all things culinary.

If you’re up for the challenge, here’s what you’ll be expected to rock in your role:

Responsibilities

  • Manage your station like a pro and show off those knife skills...as long as you have a cut glove that is :)
  • Assist in cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Creatively capture the Grizzly Paw spirit in everything you do, from prepping our secret sauces to engaging with your colleagues
  • Collaborate with various teams to create a seamless experience across the board (our team is fun, easy-going, and dedicated—working with them is a perk on its own!)
  • Uphold our commitment to environmental responsibility and safety standards (because we love our mountains and our planet)
  • And, of course, be open to other duties as they arise—sometimes that includes donning the bear suit!

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • A strong background in all things restaurant
  • Hands-on experience in either a quick casual or upscale dining establishment
  • Proven ability to connect with others and the ability to give and receive feedback
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail (plus a sense of humor)
  • Punctuality, adaptability, and confidence to thrive behind the scenes

Extra Cool Points For

  • Relevant education or the desire to obtain one
  • An active lifestyle with a love for the outdoors
  • Bonus skills, juggling bell peppers after the dinner rush

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Work with one of Alberta’s OG Craft Breweries in the stunning Rocky Mountains– We're far past our growing pains, which means a smoother work environment for you—but don’t get too comfy. Pobody’s Nerfect, you'll still need to be quick on your feet.
  • After Work Pints
  • Legendary Staff Events – ask about The Grizzly Paw Olympics.
  • Flexible Scheduling – In the mountains, work-life balance is a non-official law.
  • Discounts– Indulge is marked-down food, merch, and product for you and your loved ones.
  • Exclusive Event Access – Get exclusive access to our sponsored events like Canmore Folk Music Festival, Grizzly Ultra Marathon, Canmore Eagles Hockey, and the Alberta XC World Cup.
  • 🍻 Did we mention after work pints?

If you’re ready to dish out good times, and join something seriously cool—hit that apply button.

This position is full time and based in Canmore, Alberta. To learn more about The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company, check out our website and social media! [www.thegrizzlypaw.com | Instagram @thegrizzlypaw]
