Merit Electric is a national electrical contractor servicing the electrical needs for new construction in the retirement community market. Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned commercial projects from commencement to completion.
  • Manage all projects in a manner that exceeds the expectations of our customers and ensures that our work adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA-Mandated requirements.
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting
  • Oversee pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field
  • Collaborate with pre-fabrication and design departments
  • Set clear goals and expectations to foreman
  • Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns
  • Estimate projects and change orders when necessary
  • Manage submittal process and all job closeout procedures
  • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas of future improvement
  • Provide coaching/counseling to foreman
  • Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an electrical project manager running large scale electrical projects.
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and schematics.
  • Electrical license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have verifiable work experience and be willing to travel.
  • Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail and timely follow-through.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-directed and capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work effectively in stressful, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with Accubid Pro and Live Count estimating preferred but not mandatory.
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Highly detailed and accurate.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
