Audio Visual Manager
Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC), is a thriving faith-based institution with a rich history and vibrant ministry. We serve a growing congregation of 12,000 members and we are seeking an Audio Visual Manager- Worship to serve on our AV and Production Team. This role serves as a knowledgeable resource to develop and implement standards and protocols, resolve complex issues, and recommend process improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise across audio and video systems with leadership skills to train end-users and manage AV operations effectively.
This is a full-time, ONSITE position. (40 hours)
Saturday and Sunday is a mandatory part of the scheduling for this role.
What You'll Do
AV Operations and Support
  • Set up, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot AV equipment including microphones, speakers, video displays, projectors, cameras, recording equipment, and sound/mixing boards for church services, productions, and meetings
  • Provide AV support, including assisting and training end-users on proper use of AV equipment and new hardware/software applications
  • Proactively maintain AV equipment and ensure supplies are available
  • Handle problem recognition, research, resolution, and follow-up for AV equipment issues

Technical Management and Standards
  • Develop and implement AV standards and protocols across the organization
  • Consistently produce work products in conformance with organizational standards
  • Facilitate meetings with employees and staff to collaborate on projects and adhere to timelines
  • Undertake assignments on projects or special initiatives as appropriate

Supervisory and Leadership
  • Provide direct supervision, mentoring, and performance management to assigned AV Multimedia Specialists
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor workload, and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment through open communication, transparency, and mutual respect

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Video Technology, digital media, or job-related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, manage, and support AV environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of Mac and Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and networking
  • Proficient skill with audio editing and capturing software such as ProTools (Reaper, Logic, UA Control Meter, Focusrite Control, etc.)
  • Audinate Dante Certification Level 2 or higher
  • Proficient with mixing audio recording and editing I/O, inserts, and plugins (multi-band Equalizers, compressors, gates, auxiliary bus sends, etc.)
  • Proficient skill with video editing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Final Cut Pro X, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Animation, motion graphics, sound and video editing capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability to evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, experience, and knowledge
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and work prioritization skills with attention to detail
