PRN Radiology Techs often face the challenge of adapting quickly to different shifts, departments, and team dynamics, as their schedules and assignments can vary frequently. What is a PRN radiology tech?

A PRN Radiology Tech is a radiologic technologist who works on an as-needed basis, rather than having a set full-time or part-time schedule. 'PRN' stands for 'pro re nata,' a Latin phrase meaning 'as the situation demands.' PRN Radiology Techs perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, when coverage is needed due to staff shortages, high patient volume, or employee absences.
