What is a PRN Radiology Tech?

A PRN Radiology Tech is a radiologic technologist who works on an as-needed basis, rather than having a set full-time or part-time schedule. 'PRN' stands for 'pro re nata,' a Latin phrase meaning 'as the situation demands.' This role provides flexibility for both the employer and the technologist, but work hours may vary significantly from week to week.
