Office Security Officer – Santa Ana, CA

Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Environment: Employee Call Center / Corporate Office

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional and dependable Office Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and respectful workplace at our Santa Ana call center.

This position requires someone with excellent judgment and strong interpersonal skills who is comfortable handling sensitive employee-related situations. The Security Officer may respond to medical emergencies and behavioral incidents; observe, document, and escalate to designated HR personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the office.
  • Respond to employee disputes, behavioral incidents, and workplace disturbances.
  • Use verbal de-escalation techniques to help resolve tense or confrontational situations.
  • Respond appropriately when an employee appears impaired or is suspected of inappropriate substance use, following company procedures and escalating concerns to designated management/HR personnel.
  • Assist management and HR during sensitive employee interactions when a security presence is needed.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and employee/visitor access.
  • Respond promptly to safety and security concerns.
  • Document incidents thoroughly and objectively.
  • Contact emergency services or law enforcement when circumstances require it.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive workplace matters.
  • Provides a security presence at the request of HR. Does not conduct investigations or interviews, and does not search, restrain, or detain employees.
Qualifications
  • BSIS Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) registration required, or ability to obtain prior to start date. Current Guard Card holders encouraged to apply.
  • Previous security experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a corporate office, call center, healthcare, hospitality, or similar employee-focused environment is a plus.
  • Strong conflict-resolution and verbal de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or confrontational situations.
  • Strong observation, communication, and incident-reporting skills.
  • Sound judgment and ability to follow established escalation procedures.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
