true. Women's Health, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Triage Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team!
As an experienced practitioner, the Triage Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, determining the severity of patients conditions, and prioritizing care based on the urgency of symptoms.
Applicants with Athena EMR experience will be given priority.
Responsibilities
  • Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests or admissions
  • Completes paperwork such as refilling medication, ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
  • Assessing patients and determining priority and referring for emergency care
  • Counsels' patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
  • Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
  • Coordinates ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient
  • Developing office protocols and training documents
  • Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
  • State of Michigan LPN or RN License required
  • BLS certification required
  • At least one year of working experience as an LPN or RN required
  • Athena EMR experience highly preferred
  • OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required
