Job description

APM Terminals
Perform daily operational support, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on critical Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, including fiber optic networks, LTE/4G/5G communication equipment, DGPS systems, Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), location sensors, RFID readers, OCR cameras, industrial gate lanes, automated access controls, and truck scales. Monitor the health and availability of all critical OT systems, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime and operational disruption. Ensure redundancy and failover mechanisms are in place for systems requiring high availability, particularly communication and location-tracking infrastructure. Lead R&D initiatives to evaluate new and emerging OT technologies that could enhance operational efficiency, performance, and safety. Assess and benchmark different communication protocols to determine the most suitable solutions based on operational latency, bandwidth, interoperability, and reliability. Develop and test proof-of-concept systems for new technologies and produce technical reports with recommendations for full-scale deployment. Collaborate with internal teams to define system architectures that meet the unique needs of industrial environments, ensuring robustness and scalability. Manage vendor relationships, act as the technical lead for external service providers and equipment suppliers, drive the procurement and tender process, and oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance with safety and technical standards. Oversee project budgets, timelines, resources, conduct vendor performance evaluations, ensure contract compliance, and lead Quality Acceptance Testing for all infrastructure delivered in support of Operational Technology. Serve as the bridge between field operations, IT, Automation, and engineering, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring all operational technology systems comply with relevant industry regulations, cybersecurity best practices, and company policies.
Salary: $96,678 to $105,000 per year.
