The Commercial Associate I - is the team lead for all Relationship Associates in their respective areas. The Commercial Associate will provide quality assurance in the loan process from application to closing.

This includes collecting and ordering documentation, coordinating closing and funding, past due collection, clearing of exceptions, and continued client support for both loan and deposit accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
  Serves as subject matter expert, providing directions and guidance to a team of Relationship Associates when needed.
  As the senior team member, ensures continuance of business operations as needed in support of Portfolio Managers and customers.
  Holds meetings to train and communicate any new process or procedures that are provided by management or loan operations.
  Helps to manage the team's pipeline in conjunction with Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts.
  Works with the Commercial Client Specialist and BSA group on any KYC and EDD exceptions.
Competencies Required:
  Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor others, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
  Strong overall business acumen with the ability to understand the direction, priorities and goals of the Commercial Banking line of business.
  Knowledgeable in all aspects of Commercial loan documentation, understanding of legal entities and loan documents, such as notes, security agreements, loan/credit agreements, bank policy and any applicable regulations.
  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multitask in a fast pace environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  Strong customer service and business analytical skills, with the ability to research, assimilate information, and apply effective problem-solving and issue resolution techniques.
  Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
  Strong understanding of financial institution products and services.
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to navigate financial software applications (Mozart, Bancline, nCino) and related websites.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
7 years of experience in a banking and/or lending environment with a demonstrated understanding of banking and lending processes.
Formal Education & Certification:
  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  Must meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public, if required by respective manager.
Work Status:
  Full-Time.
Supervisory Responsibility:
  None.
Travel:
  0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.
Working Conditions:
  Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
