About the Role

iCapital is looking for an Analyst or Associate to join the Fund Reporting team. This individual will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of investor communications, with an emphasis on client fund level reports for private equity fund-of-funds, feeder funds, and monthly hedge fund reporting for private clients.ย  This individual will have constant interaction with industry leading wirehouses, as well as investment and accounting professionals at the underlying private equity funds and hedge funds.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team of investment professionals who are responsible for the preparation and review of quarterly fund level client reporting with respect to private equity, real estate, secondary, and credit fund-of-funds and feeder funds currently under management:
  • Review, digest, and extract information from the reports provided by the underlying private equity sponsors and draft the relevant information to be included in the client quarterly performance updates.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review quantitative fund and portfolio company performance information for inclusion in the reports.
  • Liaise with administrators to determine correct quantitative data for reporting purposes and be able to understand portfolio company performance and fund valuation drivers.
  • Coordinate internal compliance review and approvals.
  • Ensure timely distribution of reports to clients and relationship managers.
  • Review the monthly hedge fund fact card reporting.
  • Draft wording for capital call and distribution notices to investors.
  • Maintain communication with underlying financial sponsors regarding portfolio company activities and their impact on valuation.
  • Coordinate periodic investment portfolio and valuation reviews with other members of the team.
  • Serve as the private equity product specialist in connection with requests for information from relationship managers and clients (i.e. regarding fund performance, capital calls, and other fund-related activities) as well as fund performance update meetings.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience, preferably with hedge funds, private equity, or real estate industry, and open to recent graduates with relevant experience
  • Previous experience in report writing, investor communications, and business writing skills are preferred
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to independently solve problems
  • Microsoft office skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of Excel with experience of manipulation and presentation of data
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments with excellent time management skills
  • Proactive team player with positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000.ย  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
