Job description

Job Summary

As a Principal Product Manager for Prisma Access, you will define and execute the SASE product strategy and roadmap for the AI era. This position requires deep technical and architectural expertise, with a specific focus on leveraging Agentic AI to deliver cutting‑edge, AI/ML‑powered network security solutions. You will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle and for engaging with critical customers on complex deployments, proactively leading and unblocking high‑value deals, and maintaining Prisma Access’s position as the industry‑leading SASE solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategy and roadmap for Prisma SASE, for the AI era, and manage the complete product lifecycle from conception through post‑release.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product requirements backlog, making trade‑off decisions and developing business cases to align with strategic goals and disrupt the market.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally (Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) for unified execution, integrated solutions, and GTM enablement; capture, analyze, and codify deployment intelligence from field engagements to inform the roadmap.
  • Serve as the ultimate, hands‑on technical escalation point for the most demanding customers and mission‑critical deployments, proactively translating field blockers into AI‑driven product capabilities.
  • Own the product relationship for top‑tier customers, providing deep‑dive troubleshooting and architectural remediation for deployment and architectural challenges.
  • Define detailed, technical requirements (L2‑L7 network security, proxy, SASE protocols) and integrate AI/ML into Prisma Access for policy, config, troubleshooting, and anomaly detection.
  • Analyze market trends in network security and AI/ML, conduct competitive research, and lead design‑partner programs to validate product ideas and maintain a clear product strategy.
  • Act as a key subject‑matter expert, evangelist, and mentor, challenging the status quo and driving product initiatives that span multiple technical domains across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s degree with 8 years of experience or PhD with 5 years of experience in product management or solution architecture or technical marketing experience in enterprise networking, cloud security, network security, SASE, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise‑grade SaaS platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in owning the full product lifecycle, from writing requirements to driving customer adoption.
  • Exceptional consensus‑building and alignment‑driving skills across diverse, demanding cross‑functional teams, including executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in customer engagement as Forward Deployed Engineer/PM with a track record of successfully designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large‑scale SASE/ZTNA solutions, including comfort with direct technical intervention in customer environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of networking, VPN/tunneling, and cloud networking solutions.
  • Practical experience and strategic insight in Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and operationalizing AI/ML for field‑level problems.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Vibe coding and AI user experience (UX) tools such as Polymet.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proven ability to use data to drive complex, long‑term product strategy decisions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders from individual contributors to executive leadership.
  • Proven experience driving high‑velocity product releases using Agile methodologies in a hyper‑growth market and making decisions based on imperfect data.
