Job description

Lead Financial Analyst
The Lead Financial Analyst is an expense and reporting focused FP&A role.
The person in this role will be responsible for supporting OneMain's financial expense planning and analysis, as well as internal financial reporting processes. This person will proactively understand the strategic context and operations of the teams they support, and partner closely with business leaders to accurately report on financial performance, build driver-based expense/headcount forecasting models, support the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, support the long term and short-term forecasting exercises, and build executive level presentations. In addition to this, they will liaise with other teams like accounting and procurement to facilitate proper entries/accruals.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an FP&A team supporting a growing business, which provides exposure to business and financial leaders across the company.
The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically, have strong attention to details and be able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment. They should be able to structure and organize financial and non-financial data to build reports and analysis, which are repeatable, consistent, and able to convey the business's state of affairs with clarity succinctly.
In the Role
  • Prepare monthly & quarterly management reports and analysis
  • Explain variances versus forecast/budget
  • Support the long-term planning and short-term forecasting processes and any revisions during the year
  • Liaise with accounting and various business partners to ensure that accruals and entries are accurate
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (graduate preferred)
  • 4+ years' experience in finance/accounting roles preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and financial statements
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems like OneStream, Coupa, Power BI helpful
  • Familiarity with SQL a plus
  • Comfortable with change and challenging the status quo

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid, Tues-Thurs in office)
Target base salary range is $110,000-$120,000 which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonuses or incentives that are based on individual and company performance.
