About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. 

This is a full-time, on-site position beginning in Akron, Ohio but may move to Brecksville, Ohio in the future.

Summary

Highly motivated Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Transmission Finance. This role operates at the center of the organization, driving executive-level communications, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring leadership priorities are executed with precision. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, board materials, and leadership communications that clearly convey complex financial and operational insights
  • Lead and coordinate high-priority projects and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the VP, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, tracking progress and proactively identifying risks and opportunities
  • Support executive decision-making through data analysis, insights, and synthesis of key business drivers
  • Manage meeting cadence, agendas, and follow-ups for leadership forums; ensure outcomes are documented and advanced
  • Serve as a liaison across finance, operations, and senior leadership to drive alignment and communication

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years professional work experience required, energy industry experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
  • Proficient with PowerBI
  • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships
  • Desire to continue to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy and deliver results
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • General knowledge of financial statement analysis and GAAP
  • Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency with SAP preferred
  • Understanding of FERC and formula rates preferred
