Summary

The Manufacturing Operator II(Label Printing) is responsible for supporting label printing and labeling operations for diagnostic kit manufacturing in a cGMP-regulated environment. This role includes operating label printing equipment, completing production documentation, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience in regulated manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot label printing equipment.
  • Read and interpret work orders and production schedules to complete label printing jobs.
  • Print and apply labels to bottles, vials, boxes, and other packaging components.
  • Verify printed labels against approved specifications and work order requirements.
  • Inspect labels, materials, and packaging configurations during production setup.
  • Perform line clearance activities, including reconciliation and disposal of labels and related materials.
  • Complete production documentation accurately in accordance with cGMP and Quality System requirements.
  • Enter material usage information into QAD and other electronic systems.
  • Maintain inventory of labels and packaging materials while ensuring proper storage.
  • Support production on multiple product lines as needed.
  • Assist supervisors and production leads in resolving equipment, scheduling, and material issues.
  • Help develop and update manufacturing procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, production, or laboratory experience.
  • Experience in GMP, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience using electronic manufacturing systems such as QAD or Oracle.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including after-hours and weekend overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and work standing for extended periods.
  • Experience with label printing in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment.
