Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate I
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations at Protolabs. This role ensures incoming and outgoing materials, parts, and packages are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently to support production and customer delivery commitments.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
What You Will Do
  • Unload and inspect incoming shipment
  • Verify the accuracy of received items against packing lists or invoices
  • Organize and arrange stock in designated storage areas for optimal efficiency
  • Put away material in warehouse
  • Process and prepare outgoing domestic parcel shipments efficiently (AX, X-carrier)
  • Pick, pack, and label items for shipping (AX, AX Mobile, and X-carrier systems)
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation (X-carrier system) Quality Control:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of products during the receiving process for damage or defects.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials for different items.
  • Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
  • Promptly notify the Logistics team of any discrepancies or issues that may require escalation.
  • Complete shipping and receiving forms and paperwork.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for easy reference.

  • Experience with power tools used in a metalworking shop (drill press experience a plus)
  • Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby/utility knives, pliers
  • Able to use a computer, calculator and do basic arithmetic.
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
