Job description

The Production Expeditor is responsible for Expedite orders to maintain a consistent flow or daily orders to shipping.

A day in the life of an Operations Expeditor can look like:

  • Expedite orders to maintain a consistent flow or daily orders to shipping
  • Reconciles and report in NAV impacted orders
  • Ensures that all orders are accounted and ships on the daily shipment list
  • Physically transports in-process orders from the workstation though the fabrication processes to Quality inspection
  • Provides order status updates during Daily management meetings for 1st and 2nd
  • Reports any safety incidents or hazards
  • Excels in cross functional communication interacts with planning, materials, quality, maintenance.
  • Knowledge of planning functions; work order planning, prints daily ship list.
  • Leadership skills –Takes ownership of the workflow process. Without direct supervision
  • Workmanship- has working knowledge of fabrication techniques.
  • Materials - Pick and ship orders and understands the buyout process.
  • Navision -Rescheduling of orders and customer service notes. Prints the daily open order report.
  • Materials management – Helps with cycle counts and reporting of inaccuracies or shortages in a timely manner. Assist in monitoring inventory Kanban cards and levels
  • Distributes to the shop employees accessories and supplies
