Job description

Internal Job Title: Print/Mail Center Operations Technician
Location: League City, Texas (Marina Plaza) | Onsite
Status: Full-Time, Hourly
Reports to: Manager, Print/Mail Center Operations
The Print/Mail Center Operations Technician performs duties of the Print/Mail Center Operations Associate in addition to duties in conjunction with high-speed inserting equipment, production printing, and reprographic services. Primary tasks include processing printed output and seamlessly creating deliverables for internal business teams and external customers.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform necessary tasks to operate high-speed inserting equipment including job set up, quality control, inline postage meter operations and camera functions.
  • Perform print processing and troubleshooting for all reprographics and production printing devices including MICR check printing. Perform job set up, quality control, output management and distribution. Basic knowledge of all printing deliverables is required.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting on inserting/printing devices to restore to normal operation and escalate to more senior personnel as required. The Print/Mail Center Operations Technician will resolve minor inserting equipment and printer malfunctions.
  • Account for all insertion jobs including reconciliation of productions counts. Meet all established inserting and printing SLAs.
  • Monitor all production output for quality control issues. Rerun output as necessary. Provide status reporting on SLA objectives and exceptions.
  • Manage expendable supplies utilized on inserting and printing devices to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
  • Open vendor incidents as required.
  • Ensure integrity of all confidential information in accordance with company policy and regulations. Compliant with the processing of check printing, stock accountability, and reconciliation.
  • Access and interpret machine diagnostic messages and perform required tasks to restoration and request vendor support if required.
  • Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance allowed at machine operator/customer level.
  • Communication with Print/Mail Center Operations staff coordinating print output and any reprints necessary to aid in achieving daily Print/Mail SLA objectives.
  • Working knowledge of printing/reprographic and insertion processes including QDirect print queue print routing management for all site-specific production output.
  • Collaborate with Application development staff, Computer Operations, and CTS Management teams aiding with problem reporting/resolution.
What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma.
  • Two to four years of experience.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Previous experience as Print/Mail Center Operations Associate and proven aptitude to advance.
    • General mechanical aptitude to adjust and/or perform simple operator level equipment repairs and adjustments.
