Print Production & Creative Services Manager – Reprographics / Graphic Design


United Staffing Solutions has the honor of representing a leading media and corporate organization in their search for a Print Production & Creative Services Manager for a long-term temporary position in Midtown Manhattan. This role will manage print production, reprographics, graphic design, and creative services projects from request through production, coordinating with internal clients, creative teams, and an on-site print shop.


Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY
Job Type: Long-Term Temporary, Indefinite
Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with flexibility for overtime during the week as well as rotating Saturday nights during busy season
Pay Rate: $30-$32/hour, depending on experience


Responsibilities:

  • Managing print production and creative projects from initial request through final production and delivery
  • Coordinating work orders, project assignments, schedules, and workflow across on-site reprographics, print production, and creative teams
  • Communicating with internal clients to gather project requirements, missing information, assets, and approvals
  • Tracking multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring quality standards and deadlines are consistently met
  • Translating client needs and creative concepts into clear direction for graphic design and print production teams
  • Reviewing layouts, proofs, and final deliverables for accuracy, quality, brand consistency, and adherence to applicable standards
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with internal clients, external vendors, and cross-functional business partners
  • Tracking invoices, payments, budgets, and other department-related administrative information
  • Coordinating contract employee administration, including hours and related agency communication
  • Preparing project status reports, presentations, templates, guidelines, and training materials
  • Coordinating department and team meetings, including conference rooms, catering, and other logistics as needed
  • Supporting Mac and PC systems and assisting with the implementation of new software, programs, and process improvements
  • Coordinating maintenance and supply needs for on-site commercial printers and print production equipment
  • Identifying opportunities to improve print workflows, streamline production, and increase overall department efficiency
  • Taking initiative to learn new print technologies and equipment, including 3D printers, flatbed printers, and Silhouette printers, and becoming comfortable supporting their use within the department


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an on-site print shop, reprographics center, or print production environment with commercial/digital printers and production equipment is required
  • Hands-on familiarity with print production, reprographics, prepress, digital printing, production workflows, and commercial printing equipment
  • Experience in creative services, print production, graphic design, corporate marketing, agency operations, or a related environment
  • Experience with production printing equipment such as Xerox, Canon, Xante, Fiery, or similar systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Strong understanding of the creative brief, graphic design, proofing, prepress, and print production processes
  • Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, visual hierarchy, photography, and overall composition
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple print and creative projects simultaneously
  • Excellent proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Highly organized, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven production environment
  • Strong client-service mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with creative, print production, operational, and corporate teams
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the initiative and willingness to independently learn new print equipment, technologies, and production processes
  • Willingness to pitch in on last-minute and high-priority projects as needed
