Valley Forge Fabrics is the industry leader in supplying custom, decorative performance fabrics, products, and solutions to the Hospitality Industry. We partner with the world's leading hospitality brands and we’re seeking a Textile Design & Print Associate to join our team.

This role is responsible for developing production-ready textile artwork that meets customer specifications and manufacturing requirements. Unlike traditional textile design roles focused on creating seasonal collections, this position emphasizes technical accuracy, production readiness, color consistency, and adherence to established design standards.

This is a full-time, onsite position at our Ft Lauderdale office, requiring an experienced textile designer (7+ years) with strong technical expertise in Ned Graphics, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

Key Responsibilities

Textile Design & Artwork Development

  • Develop and prepare production-ready textile artwork that meets customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Organize and submit artwork designs for approval, including supporting inspiration materials, in accordance with Valley Forge guidelines.
  • Understands basic repeat construction, print limitations, and manufacturing capabilities across digital, rotary, and woven production methods.
  • Follows internal process to ensure artwork complies with copyright requirements and company design standards.

Color & Print Production

  • Perform color matching using Pantone standards, LAB values, and physical color references.
  • Review strike-offs and production samples to ensure color accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sample results and production files.
  • Understand textile printing technologies and machine capabilities.

Project Work

  • Collaborate with Textile Design, Sourcing, Project Management, Sales, and Print Production teams throughout the product development process.
  • Stays on track with project timelines, meets deadlines for completion typically 1-3 days while maintaining other priorities. 
  • Communicate project status, technical concerns, and recommended solutions clearly across departments.
  • Manage assigned production requests, purchase orders, and project priorities within Salesforce and other business systems.
  • Answers and addresses customer service inquiries related to textile design process.

Software & Technical Expertise

  • Utilize Ned Graphics Design technology, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop to create and modify production artwork.
  • Continue developing expertise in department software and emerging technologies.
  • Assist teammates with software troubleshooting and best practices when appropriate.

Organization & Teamwork

  • Effectively prioritize multiple projects while adapting to changing business needs and urgent requests.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical project files, follows best practices for version history.
  • Communicate and work closely with Sourcing & Project Management team to troubleshoot any project issues,  and provide results-oriented solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and solutions-oriented work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college/university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in textile design or textile production artwork.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • 3+ years of experience using Ned Graphics.
  • Strong understanding of textile printing processes, repeat construction, and production artwork.
  • Experience with color matching for textiles using Pantone standards, LAB values, and physical color references.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce, PLM systems, or similar product lifecycle management software.
  • Experience with Kaleido software.
  • Hospitality textile industry experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to distinguish subtle color variations accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 15 pounds while reviewing, organizing, and handling textile samples.
