Role Summary

This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, assisting in leading efforts to drive the growth of our models business. The VP will partner with investment teams to help define product positioning, develop narratives, messaging strategy and product content. They will work across the AM Marketing team to infuse product-related insights across content creation, digital marketing, paid media, social media, analytics and design to create end-to-end campaigns and programs in service of new product launches and the broader commercial objectives of the business. 

 Responsibilities

  • Marketing implementation: Assist in development and execution of strategic marketing plans to build awareness and affinity for AM's investment capabilities, specifically model portfolios.
  • Product narrative: Ensure value propositions and messaging pillars are infused through all product marketing assets. 
  • Launches and campaigns: Assist in development and implementation of marketing plans around new product/fund launches, major announcements, tentpole events and client conferences. Partner with AM Marketing colleagues to deliver well thought-out, impactful and quantifiable product-specific marketing campaigns, leveraging a range of channels (e.g.,  digital, media and in-person) and tactics to drive lead generation and client retention.
  • Develop Marketing Materials and Content: Create and develop product-specific marketing collateral (e-mails, presentations, premier publications, etc.) in partnership with AM's content and design teams.
  • Product content and calendar: Partner with content team to deliver a content calendar which fully supports the models marketing strategy, including the generation of editorial ideas, and content creation as well as continual improvement across marketing and sales collaterals, social media and am.gs.com. 
  • Measurement and reporting: End-to-end reporting and measurement of day-to-day and campaign-related marketing impact, delivering clear MROI and taking active steps to adjust marketing approach as necessary to optimize impact.
  • Regulatory compliance and risk management: Ensure compliance with all regulations and industry standards with all marketing materials. Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all marketing communications including proactive management of operational risk. 
  • Team connectivity: Take an active leadership role in the AM Marketing team, adopting a collaborative approach, sharing best practices, being involved in programs outside primary region as relevant, and contributing to the team's overall success. 
  • Cross-functional partnership and collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with other AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, sales and investment heads, and key stakeholders across AM.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a similar role within a similar leading financial institution with an outstanding track record with measurable impacts and achievements
  • Strong knowledge of the asset management industry: clients, products (specifically model portfolios), regulations, competitors 
  • Ability to present investment views in a thoughtful and well-reasoned manner, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story 
  • Demonstrated integrated marketing skills across strategy and execution; ability to leverage subject matter experts throughout broader divisional marketing team in pursuit of effective outcomes and a strong understanding of all marketing media including digital, social and print collateral 
  • Effective time management, ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards and managing multiple priorities at once 
  • Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills as well as the ability to engage with partners at all levels
  • Strategic thinking with commercial awareness and business acumen 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); MBA and/or CFA preferred

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $110000-$230000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
