Print Collateral information

What is print collateral and what does a print collateral specialist do?

Print collateral refers to the collection of printed materials used by a business or organization to support its marketing and branding efforts. People working in print collateral are responsible for designing, producing, and managing items such as brochures, flyers, business cards, posters, and catalogs. Their role often involves collaborating with graphic designers, printers, and marketing teams to ensure that the materials align with the brand’s image and communication goals. They also oversee the quality, consistency, and distribution of these materials to reach the intended audience effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a print collateral specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Print Collateral Specialist, you need expertise in graphic design, print production processes, and knowledge of branding standards, often supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with prepress and print management systems are typically required. Strong attention to detail, time management, and effective communication skills set top performers apart in this role. These skills ensure that print materials are visually compelling, brand-consistent, and delivered efficiently to support marketing and communication goals.

What is the difference between Print Collateral vs Graphic Designer?

Print CollateralGraphic Designer
Focuses on creating printed marketing materials like brochures, flyers, and postersDesigns visual content for both print and digital media, including branding, websites, and advertisements
Requires knowledge of print production, color management, and layout for physical mediaRequires skills in digital design software, visual communication, and creative concepts
Works primarily in marketing, advertising, and corporate communicationsWorks across various industries including advertising, media, and branding agencies

Print Collateral specialists focus on designing and producing printed marketing materials, emphasizing print production skills. Graphic Designers have a broader scope, creating visual content for both print and digital platforms. While there is overlap, Print Collateral roles are more specialized in physical media, whereas Graphic Designers often work across multiple media types.

How to become a print collateral specialist?

To become a print collateral specialist, candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience in graphic design, printing processes, or marketing. Skills in Adobe Creative Suite, attention to detail, and knowledge of printing equipment are important, and some roles may require certifications in graphic design or print production. Gaining experience through internships or entry-level positions can also help build relevant skills for this role.

Job description

Ally Behavior is a full-time, center-based, early intervention Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy program, serving children with autism ranging from 18 months to 6 years of age. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality therapy to help our early learners reach their potential to communicate, improve social skills, and prepare for academic success. The children we serve are at the heart of everything we do and we are passionate about our commitment to having a meaningful impact in the lives of our children and their families.
Please include a cover letter so we can get to know you better and understand why you believe you will be a good fit for our team! Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be considered.
Job Summary:
Ally Behavior Centers is a rapidly growing autism therapy provider with centers across Virginia, Maryland, and Texas. We're seeking a Physician Liaison to establish and maintain relationships with medical professionals and generate referrals within the territory. You'll serve as the vital connection between pediatric providers and our services, sharing our story and becoming a trusted resource for the community. You're independent, enthusiastic, and excited to spend the majority of your days on the road meeting with physicians, nurses, practice managers, and medical office administrative professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to grow an established territory, develop new referral relationships, and help us achieve our goal of meaningful, long-term expansion by 2030.
Ally Behavior is a dynamic, fun, and rewarding place to work that offers superior growth and leadership opportunities in a supportive, engaging environment. We have a unique and collaborative culture that is driven by our diverse team of professionals and our core values of Serving Others, Treatment Excellence, All One Ally, Resourceful in Finding Solutions, and Striving to Grow. Our comprehensive onboarding and training approach will support and prepare you to help us provide the best possible service to our clients!
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships: Visit 8+ provider offices daily to cultivate meaningful partnerships with pediatricians, nurses, and office administrative professionals. You'll become a trusted resource and advocate for families seeking autism diagnostic services and full-time, in-center ABA therapy
  • Coordinate events: Plan and execute lunch-and-learns, speaker series, and community events that strengthen relationships and showcase Ally's value to the referral community
  • Educate the provider community: Clearly communicate Ally Behavior's mission, service offerings, and enrollment process to medical providers and staff who serve pediatric patients. You'll ensure referring providers understand our clinical approach, types of children we serve, current capacity, and time-sensitive updates
  • Demonstrate clinical outcomes and impact: Share relevant case studies, client progress updates, collaboration of care reports, and center developments with referring providers. You'll discuss diagnostic timelines, enrollment availability, and collaborate on how Ally's services complement the broader care team's efforts
  • Maintain CRM excellence: Document all provider interactions, outreach activities, and relationship touchpoints in HubSpot. You'll review reports that track referral patterns and identify growth opportunities
  • Own the marketing calendar: Plan 6+ months ahead to create a cohesive outreach strategy that aligns with seasonal opportunities. You'll design and produce provider-facing marketing materials (branded print collateral, handwritten notes, thoughtful provider gifts) that reinforce our brand and keep Ally top-of-mind with referral partners
  • Expand the referral network: Proactively identify and pursue new provider relationships through multi-channel communication, including cold calls, fax, email, and in-person visits
KPIs:
  • Provider visits per week
  • Qualified referrals per month
  • Account visit frequency
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2 years of internal or external sales/marketing experience is required; 1-2 years of health care or ABA experience is a plus!
  • Polished, energetic, outgoing person who can be an ambassador for Ally Behavior
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain and cultivate relationships within a professional capacity
  • Comfortable with daily accountability on key metrics, including account touchpoints, events scheduled, leads generated, and new clients referred
  • Unique ability to adapt and overcome external relationship issues for positive outcomes
  • Must be able to pass MD/VA state and FBI background check in addition to a sex offender background check
  • Bonus points for established relationships with pediatric provider offices across our regions!
What You Will Bring:
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, always changing environment, and are willing to do whatever is needed to achieve our company's mission
  • You've finished your Bachelor's and did well in school. What you studied isn't all that important to us. Maybe it's healthcare administration, maybe it's basket weaving
  • You demonstrate strong and fluent written and oral communication skills. This should shine through in your cover letter - show us your style and professionalism
  • You are compassionate and have a high EQ - we work with families who have children with developmental delays. You take pride in excellent customer service and patient experience
  • You like to work really hard and aren't just collecting a paycheck and letting the time pass. Excellent performance and building something special is what you find most fulfilling in life. If you have a project on your plate, you won't stop just because it's 5pm
  • You are self-motivated and want to move up and grow with our ever-expanding company
  • You have varied interests and passions that you can dive deeply into. Maybe you love Russian Literature, minored in it in school, and are part of a local book club with some like-minded friends
What We Offer When Joining Our Team:
  • $80k base salary with total earnings of $100k+ at quota. Uncapped bonus potential
  • Guaranteed semi-monthly paycheck (24)
  • Company-sponsored DashPass
  • 18 days of paid time off
  • 9 paid holidays (5 set days + 4 "floating" holidays)
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Medical +HSA, Dental, and Vision coverage through Cigna
  • Up to $9,000 in post-maternity childcare assistance
  • 401(k) plan with company match.

Pay Range
$80,000-$100,000 USD
