Principal Software Engineer - GP Enterprise Solutions
As a Principal Software Engineer at GPES, you'll manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a development projects, from local development and version control through to both frontend and backend development.
Join GP Enterprise Solutions (GPES) - a company focused on solving challenges in the alternative asset space through the lens of simplicity. As a key player in a small startup, you will have the ability to prioritize, focus, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You'll Do:
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle; technical analysis and design, development, and unit test phases.
  • Ability to identify, deliver and drive improvements and innovations within the development area.
  • Compile and review estimates around all technical aspects of a solution
  • Ensure all aspects of good design and construction are delivered
  • Working on backend node.js APIs, react web UIs, and docker-based infrastructure
  • Manage AWS infrastructure including but not limited to databases, servers and serverless functions
  • Participate in database schema design changes
  • Work with CTO and CGO to help guide the product forward

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Hands-on experience with ReactJS, NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Code pipeline code build and/or GitHub Actions).
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as code (CDK).
  • Deep understanding of ORM and experience with MySql DB.
  • Ability to establish development standards and ensure code quality and security.
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards (SOC2).
  • Familiarity with observability tools (New Relic).
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
