Opportunity

Are you ready to be at the forefront of cybersecurity resilience in the financial sector? As a Senior Principal Risk Specialist โ€“ Cyber Engagements, you will strengthen the industry's defenses against evolving cyber threats by designing and leading immersive tabletop exercises and workshops that simulate realโ€‘world incidents, helping member firms sharpen response strategies, improve coordination, and build lasting resilience.


Responsibilities

  • Lead highโ€‘impact engagements by designing, coordinating, and facilitating cybersecurity tabletop exercises and workshops with member firms.

  • Plan, manage, and execute internal and external cyber engagement events to drive engagement and alignment with company goals.

  • Develop formal documentation, including Executive Summaries, After Action Reports (AARs), Educational Whitepapers, and Toolkits to support engagement functions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing tailored guidance on incident management, coordination protocols, and recovery strategies based on each firmโ€™s risk profile.

  • Lead complex examinations and risk reviews, collaborating with Regulatory Operations staff and addressing matters from tips, referrals, and specialist initiatives.

  • Share knowledge through conference panels, training seminars, boot camps, and district compliance events; develop staff training materials, podcasts, and specialized content.

  • Consult on highโ€‘stakes issues, responding to complex inquiries from Regulatory Operations staff with minimal supervision.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Intermediate securities, compliance, or financial regulatory experience.

  • Advanced experience in risks associated with cybersecurity and incident response.

  • Intermediate knowledge of FINRAโ€™s eleven risk fundamentals and securities rules.

  • Advancedโ€‘toโ€‘expert knowledge of cybersecurity risks, threat landscapes, and incident management.

  • Advancedโ€‘toโ€‘expert written and oral communication skills.

  • Advancedโ€‘toโ€‘expert negotiation skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.

  • Advancedโ€‘toโ€‘expert organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

  • Resiliencyโ€”ability to adapt and thrive under pressure and uncertainty.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, Computer Forensics, Data Analytics, or related fields.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification.

  • Series 99 license.
