Expected salary range of $118,800 to $132,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with a strong background in high voltage transmission power, substation design, data center primary power infrastructure, on-site power generation and distribution, as well as solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable power solutions that support critical infrastructure and advanced energy systems.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Perform load analysis, equipment selection, and system integration for utility and industrial power systems.
  • Lead the electrical design and layout of data center primary power distribution systems, including UPS, switchgear, and backup power solutions.
  • Develop and implement on-site power generation and distribution strategies, including diesel generators, gas turbines, fuel cells and hybrid systems.
  • Design, evaluate, and integrate solar PV arrays and battery energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and system performance modeling for renewable energy projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site as required.
  • Design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria)
  • Stay current on emerging and current technologies, practices and processes related to talent development programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in high voltage transmission, substation engineering, sited generation, and data center power systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC)
  • Demonstrated experience with solar PV systems and battery storage technologies
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving/conflict resolution, time management, and independent decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microgrid and distributed energy resource (DER) integration
  • Knowledge of SCADA, protection and control systems, and automation for power networks
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting and interconnection processes for renewable energy projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
