We are a rapidly growing pharmacy organization on a mission to make a real impact in patients’ lives, and we’re looking for an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Technician who wants to be part of that journey. This is not your typical pharmacy role. Every day brings new challenges, complex cases, and opportunities to problem-solve in a high-touch, fast-moving environment.

If you thrive on navigating prior authorizations, unlocking access to life-changing therapies, and working closely with covered entities, providers, payers, and patients, this is where your skillset truly shines. We’re looking for someone who is sharp, driven, and ready to grow with a team that values initiative and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and fulfill specialty prescriptions, including data entry, labeling, and coordination of delivery
  • Take ownership of prior authorizations, benefits investigations, and insurance adjudication, resolving rejections and removing barriers to care
  • Communicate with covered entities, providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely access to specialty medications
  • Coordinate patient onboarding, refills, and medication adherence programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy systems (PrimeRx or similar)
  • Assist with inventory management and specialty drug handling requirements (including cold chain when applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, URAC/NABP standards, and state/federal regulations
  • Escalate clinical or operational issues to the pharmacist as needed

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License
  • 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in specialty, retail, or high-volume environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Prior authorizations
    • Pharmacy billing and insurance processing
    • Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage complex workflows

Preferred Experience

  • Specialty medications (HIV, PrEP, Hepatitis C)
  • Patient assistance programs (PAF, copay assistance)
  • Adherence programs and refill coordination
  • Experience with PrimeRx

Why Join Us

We’re building something dynamic, and we are looking for people who want to grow with it. Here, your work directly impacts patient access to critical therapies, and your expertise is valued every day. You’ll be challenged, supported, and given the opportunity to expand your skills in specialty pharmacy operations, insurance navigation, and patient support. If you’re looking for a role where no two days feel the same and your contributions truly matter, this is it.
