Role Overview
Equities Technology at Citi is undertaking a bold, multi-year transformation to build a best-in-class, global equities platform across execution, prime services, clearing, and cross-product margining. one that combines scale, balance sheet efficiency, global reach, and deeply integrated execution, financing, margin, and post-trade capabilities
We are re-engineering our technology estate to deliver world-leading performance, resiliency, and scalability - enabling advanced execution capabilities, global market connectivity, and modernized post-trade, financing, and margin workflows.
As Global Head of Prime Finance Technology, you will serve as the senior technology leader for Citi's Prime Finance franchise, supporting one of the firm's most strategically important global businesses. You will partner closely with Equities business leadership and product team to define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy that accelerates growth, deepens client relationships, and drives the modernization of Prime Finance technology into a cohesive, scalable global platform supporting the Equities franchise.
This role directly shapes the future of Citi's Prime Finance franchise- driving technology-enabled differentiation, operational resiliency, and sustainable franchise growth across a global client base. It is pivotal in delivering a seamlessly integrated, highly automated front-to-back platform, while maintaining the highest standards of engineering quality, resiliency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Technology Leadership
  • Partner with Equities and Prime Finance business leaders to define, own, and execute the global Prime Finance technology strategy and multi-year transformation roadmap.
  • Translate business growth objectives (financing, margin optimization, balance sheet efficiency, client experience) into clear technology priorities and investment decisions.
  • Act as a senior technology voice shaping franchise-level decisions across Equities execution, clearing, and cross-product margining.

Platform Transformation & Delivery
  • Lead the end-to-end modernization of Prime Finance platforms, including financing and margin systems, securities lending, collateral management, lifecycle processing, and client reporting.
  • Drive the convergence of execution, prime, clearing, and margin technologies into a cohesive, scalable global architecture.
  • Ensure timely, predictable delivery of complex change portfolios across regulatory, client, and growth initiatives.

Platform Excellence, Resiliency & Risk
  • Own the stability, performance, and resiliency of Prime Finance technology platforms operating in a high-volume, mission-critical environment.
  • Ensure strong target-state architecture alignment, robust controls, and operational excellence to protect clients and the firm.
  • Partner with Risk, Controls, and Operations to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, supervisory, and internal policy requirements.

Engineering Leadership & Modern Practices
  • Champion modern engineering practices, including cloud-enabled architectures, API-driven platforms, automation, and data-centric design.
  • Raise engineering standards across quality, observability, test automation, and release discipline.
  • Drive simplification and reduction of technical debt across a complex legacy estate.

Global Organization Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a large, globally distributed organization of technologists across regions and time zones.
  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and client focus.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top engineering and leadership talent; actively manage succession and capability depth.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Significant experience in Financial Services technology, including a senior leadership role supporting Equities, Prime Finance, or complex capital markets businesses
  • Deep understanding of Prime Finance concepts, including margining, financing, securities lending, collateral, lifecycle processing, and risk.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale technology transformations, including architecture definition, build, deployment, and ongoing platform management.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at executive level, influencing business and technology stakeholders in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong people leadership experience, including global team management, senior talent development, and budget ownership.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Strong awareness of regulatory, risk, and control requirements applicable to global markets and prime services technology.
