As a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist - Level 4 located in Magna or Promontory, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
In this job, you will:
  • Work with a wide variety of Northrop Grumman's suppliers to procure specialized goods and services in support of a portfolio of programs
  • Facilitate supplier vetting and approval
  • Collaborate with key Northrop Grumman stakeholders, including, but not limited to, engineering, quality assurance, business management and program management to finalize statements of work and material/product specifications to clearly define requirements and to develop an appropriate subcontracting strategy
  • Write and award subcontracts (if within delegated procurement authority) or obtain necessary approvals for subcontract award (if outside of delegated procurement authority)
  • Subcontract pre-award activities including, but not limited to, preparation of requests for proposals, analysis of proposals and negotiation of subcontract provisions, terms, and conditions
  • Subcontract post-award activities including, but not limited to, subcontract administration, change notices, validation and payment of invoices and subcontract closeout
  • Execute subcontractor non-disclosure agreements
  • Execute teaming agreements
  • Ensure compliance with public laws, company policies, import/export regulations and prime contract flow-down clauses
  • Monitor supplier quality, reliability, and ability to support required delivery schedule
  • Assist in material receipt and property management documentation
  • Engage in continuous process improvement to achieve overall efficiency and success of supported programs
  • Employ sound business practices to ensure integrity throughout the procurement process and enforces procurement integrity
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk
  • Periodically conducts conduct training on a variety of professional topics for groups of 5-10 employees

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and/or Costpoint business management software (specifically, the ability to generate and award purchase orders in SAP and/or Costpoint)
  • Experience working with the U.S. government and/or U.S. military, as these entities are the primary customers associated with this position
  • International Supplier Subcontract/Procurement experience
  • Understanding of price analysis methods

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
