This position is based onsite at our hospital, emphasizing the importance of face-to-face interactions with colleagues and patients. • Conduct detailed assessments of patients experiencing pain, documenting comprehensive medical histories and current health challenges.
• Utilize diagnostic tools by ordering and interpreting blood tests, imaging studies, and other necessary investigations to inform treatment strategies.
• Formulate and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients dealing with both acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to post-operative pain, arthritis, and neuropathic pain.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, carefully monitoring patient responses and making adjustments to treatment protocols as required.
• Educate patients and their families about disease management, pain relief strategies, and preventive healthcare practices that optimize health outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring comprehensive documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
• Oversee appointment scheduling, ensuring patients receive timely care, while effectively managing a busy patient load.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops and participating in research initiatives within the pain management field.

You will work directly with a diverse group of patients, from those seeking relief from acute pain post-surgery to individuals suffering from chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia or complex regional pain syndrome. Your clinical expertise will not only help alleviate pain but also improve patients' quality of life and overall satisfaction with their healthcare experience.

• Valid certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a current State license.
• Proven experience in pain management, with a solid foundation in acute and chronic care methodologies.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
