ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER
Bland County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team for the 2026-2027 school year. We are committed to fostering a nurturing and academically rigorous environment where every student can thrive.

$43,029 - $67,119 (based on experience and education)

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress; use data to guide instructional decisions
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff
  • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support student success
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by school administration

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to meeting the diverse learning needs of all students
