Job description

Job Description:
The Pricing Analyst role plays a critical part in ensuring our products are competitively and strategically priced across markets. You'll analyze data, evaluate cost structures, support pricing strategy development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive profitability and market success.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain pricing models that incorporate cost data, market trends, competitive intelligence, and margin targets.
  • Analyze product costs, including materials, labor, freight, and overhead, to ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with financial goals.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to identify pricing opportunities or risks.
  • Support pricing strategy initiatives, including new product introductions, product line adjustments, and promotional pricing.
  • Prepare pricing reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting trends, variances, and recommendations.
  • Evaluate pricing performance by product line, region, and customer segment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and ECAT Teams to ensure pricing decisions are informed, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with ECAT and ERP system teams to ensure pricing logic, product rules, and pricing outputs are accurate and aligned across platforms.
  • Maintain pricing databases and tools, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
  • Assist in quote reviews, providing analysis and guidance on non-standard pricing requests.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance pricing efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, & Power BI/Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or other engineered-to-order industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with statistical analysis or pricing optimization tools.

Essential Mental and Physical Functions:
This role requires critical thinking, strategic planning, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Product Manager must be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and adapting to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in an office or manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites, trade shows, or manufacturing facilities.
  • Use of standard office equipment and occasional exposure to production floor conditions.

Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with regular interaction with engineering labs and manufacturing areas. The role involves frequent collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required to support product launches, customer visits, or industry events.
