Job Summary
The Closing Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing all store operations and personnel on shift. Delivers high quality customer service to all customers. Assures store presentation remains clean, stocked and professional at all times. Opens and/or closes the store, including all required cash handling, office paperwork and deposits, ensures the sales floor and back room are ready for the business day. CGO functions of receiving, inventory, damages, signs and tags. Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries as needed. Complies with all Company, Federal and States policies, rules, procedures, regulations and laws.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • One plus years related management experience. Associate degree preferred or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Essential Job Functions:
Performance of the essential functions of this position require the Team Member to possess the minimum qualifications listed above. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities for up to 20 team members in the store in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintains great store conditions per company standard; to include compliance with company and governmental sanitation and safety standards.
  • Awareness of shrink standards and objectives.
  • Ensures the delivery of great customer service.
  • Demonstrates and supports a high level of integrity, ethics and confidentiality.
  • Ensures proper usage compliance and handling of all supplies and equipment.
  • Rotates and Stocks items to shelves, coolers, display cases, bunkers and freezers.
  • Maintains back-room cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensures the quality and freshness of products for sale and accuracy of product signage
  • Open/Close Cash Office including reconciliations, verifications and deposit drops
  • Performs CGO functions of receiving, inventory, damages, signs and tags. Completes Sign Audit Store Walk and take corrective action to replace needed signs/tags.
  • Completes required logging and checklists - alarms, temperatures, etc.
  • Maintains strong communications with Store Manager on store conditions, customer/team member issues, shoplifting incidents, emergency situations, etc.
  • Work primarily nights and weekends, days as needed. Full Time position - working an average of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
