About this PositionThe Roll Tender/Feeder Operator is responsible for loading the paper into the printing press for production. He also assists in make ready time performing various duties such as cleaning ink fountains, changing plates, and other misilanious duties.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Assists 1st Pressman in all areas during make ready and production periods.

Helps set up print jobs according to the specifications on the job jacket(Ink, paper, etc.)
Make sure printing supplies are available for the next job on the schedule(plates, paper, ink, coating, etc.)
Loads sheet paper or roll paper for job depending on the press.
Make adjustments to feeder to ensure paper is feeding properly into the machine.

Assists 1st Pressman in making sure quality standards are meet by inspecting color and register
Check lay out by ruling out a sheet and checking pagination.
Inspect paper for damage before loading it into the press.

Assists 1st Pressman to insure that press is in top working order for production and quality
Make sure that the press is properly greased and lubricated
Assist in changing and setting rollers when needed
Clean press and preform housekeeping in press area.
