Job description

Freedom is proud to be one of the largest, privately held direct mail service providers in the United States. We are a family-owned business entering our 40th year in operation and are excited to expand our national footprint. We are recruiting an experienced 2nd Press Operator to join our talented team of high-impact employees on 3rd shift in our Aurora, IL production facility. The 2nd Press Operators assists the Press Operator in running our off-set web presses.

In this position you will:

  • Pack and install plates and blankets according to company standards.
  • Maintain each print unit, including, but not limited to, installing new rollers and maintaining good ink transfer within acceptable quality guidelines.
  • Obtain color to color register.
  • Assist the Press Operator with Inline and Inkjet make-ready and operation.
  • Run the press when the Press Operator is absent or away from the press.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with inline finishing.
  • At least one year of experience as a Lithographic Web 2nd Pressman.
  • Experience producing quality four color process pieces.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8-12 hours per shift.
