Printing Press Operator Apprentice/Trainee

CCL Label Healthcare & Specialty Buffalo is looking for mechanically inclined and motivated individuals to join our team as Printing Press Operator Apprentices/Trainees. These individuals will learn from our highly skilled Press Operators with upwards of 35 years of experience to master this process. Our ultimate goal is for our trainees to successfully run and manage the productivity of their own business cell.

Shift: 1st Shift (7 am - 3 pm)

Job Summary: The Press Operator Trainee (Press Helper) assists Press Operators in the setup and operation of equipment following CCL's Standard Operating Procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist Press Operator by ensuring they have the proper material and supplies.
  • Help set up new jobs by installing plates, cylinders, rollers, dies and screens.
  • Ensure rolls of raw material are mounted on the unwind shaft during production run.
  • Perform total preventive maintenance on the press and all equipment.
