About The Opportunity
Salary Range: $24.98 - $26.78
The Digital Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a digital printing press to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedure, safety and quality guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and proceduresUnderstand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements
  • Verify job specifications such as size, color and type of paper and color of ink from job order
  • Obtain substrate and related supplies needed to produce the job
  • Set up press according to established company guidelines, safety and job requirements
  • Print proof sheets to check press setup
  • Print job maintaining optimum production rate, color density, registration, and quality standard within company and customer guidelines, and make press adjustments as required
  • Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
  • Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product
  • Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
  • Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
  • Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned equipment and surrounding area
  • Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
  • Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiativesPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
